I like to walk the streets
at night,
prowling,
marking territory,
hunting.

I like to walk among
the tame,
alone
wild
hungry.

I like to walk and suddenly
stop,
change direction,
part the herd,
survey the prey.

I like to walk and see
the fear,
in eyes,
weak knees,
ready to scream.

I like to walk and watch
for predators,
in my territory,
invading my space,
stalking my game.

I like to walk
and be the fucking king.
