Lost Amid Shades Of Violet
Lost amid shades of violet
and purple
longing for emerald green
soothing comfort
under a misty blanket
of blue and white.

Doorways spilling shadows
of indigo
ink
swallowing slices of
logically reasoned reality
clutching frantically
at a crippled normalcy.

Footsteps glow blue
in mocking mirrors
of noontime skies
that beckon
through hallways of
magenta flames
and echoes of ultraviolet
blades.

There's no green in this
nightmare
of gasoline fumes
and acid fogs,
no safety
no calm
no blanket
of green
for my eyes
to sleep.
