Sanity
The brains, the brains!
I hate it when they explode
sending bits of ideas willy-nilly
ricocheting deadly thought shrapnel
into pre-conceived ideas
and faiths
bleeding them internally
and infernally
until mortal deadlock wins out
and tears of hope dash
and sizzle
amid the flames of relentless
whip lashes
that slice and flay the naked
soul
in the awful realization that
reality is never
real.
