In Any Way

In Any Way

How do people
who have no right
to take their own lives
in any way
give to the state
a right
the state declares
they do not own?

The right to risk one's life
in any way
for a chance to save it
is not
the right to die
but
the right to live.

Those people who break society's laws
in any way
and nullify
the social contract
do not abrogate
their inalienable right to life.

The preservation of the state
is not
in any way
sovereign
over any individual's
inalienable rights.

The formation of a state
or
for that matter
any organization
is always
in every way
subservient
to the individual.
