Thoughts On Eriugena

Thoughts On Eriugena

his second perimeter is
sin, sickness and suffering
his rays of idea are here
at the
edge of our reality
end of our journey
at this point he says
the
individual trinity within us
union of soul, wisdom and love
seeks to return to the creator
here
he sees only one way of
returning
by
divine grace
grace
I say is
that divine emotion
that is all emotions
as clear light is
all colored light
grace/all emotions in one
can triumph over
individual emotion
which he mistakes as
sensuousness
because of his fear
of the patriarchy
and their mortal fear
of
women
which also causes him
to reject
women
and
nature
he goes on to say
using reason
we can curb the
longing for
here I interpret
addiction to
human passions
and thence
onward
to contemplation of pure ideas
which in turn
will lead us
unerringly
to divine intuition
where
the three combined
intuition, intellect & ratiocination
dianoia, nous & logos
emotion, reason & wonder
the last triad is mine
through these three
he says
one breaks the bondage of
or as I would say
one rejects the finality of
sin, sickness and suffering
to attain union with the
divine
which is
salvation
with his patriarchal god
which he insists is
synonymous
with
the nature of the universe
and hence all reality
but in my wonderment
his god
has brought
only
sin, sickness and suffering
while salvation
is
union
sensuous union
goddess union
union
all as one
all of nature
women and men
together
universally
